There are thousands of budding bloggers coming up every day. They want to implement their best efforts and be a successful by the end of the session, but as it is well know that only a few amongst us are able to grab this status. This is because we fail to plan things, though we may put in great efforts but we lose the exact way we are supposed to go, one can be a successful blogger not just by putting in efforts but by placing right efforts in a right direction and at a right time.
1.Is my blog my hobby or a profession?
This is the most important question a budding blogger must ask himself before putting in his greatest efforts into his blog. The time you should give your blog depends on whether your blog is a career for you or its just a hobby? confused people most land up giving up their blogging, due to the continuous imbalance in the amount of work and time they put-in and the amount of success they fetch by their efforts. Less success is more than enough to force you give up your blogging.
So, to avoid such a shameful loss, one must be clear about the way he/she thinks about blogging. If it is a hobby then one should plan and give less time to blogging and work slowly. For the other who consider blogging as a business or a job, they should be giving their complete time and attention to their blog and should be ready to learn from their mistakes, cause until or unless you start learning you can not be the best in your niche.
2.Am i ready to help people? OR Am just here to make money?
Helping does not mean to personally spread out your support to your readers. It means that you should feel happy and eager to provide your readers with something which they can not fetch easily on Internet. Answering to the comment and queries by readers can also fetch you good name and success. Keeping a money minded personality seldom helps anyone, neither the readers nor the blogger, are happy at what they get. It is fact that ‘Your notes or writings reflect your thinking’.
So, try to avoid this blunder by shaping your mind to be helpful and serve your readers a good content. if at a step, you are able to please your readers, then you will realise that success lies on the next step only.
3.Am i a copycat or a genuine writer?
Being a copycat is the biggest mistake made by the budding bloggers,as they are unaware that a copied content does not only brings visitors, but it also brings a bad name and a lot of trouble (copy writes violation) to you and your blog. One must avoid copying as much as possible. Write four articles a week instead of copy-pasting 40 articles. Genuine content adds a reputation with your blog’s name and to yours as well. Genuine content helps fetch regular readers and a higher search engine ranking.
What is copying? Most of us often get confused with this question. Copying means that your are copying the entire content of some other person and are just making a slight changes in the format of writing, else everything is same.
How to avoid copying? You should start writing on your own, take the basic structure by reading few articles, add some extra points and do not see the source article while writing. this will help you be genuine and protect your identity while writing. but do remember to add some new and innovative ideas and illustrations to your work.
4.Do i know the copy-writes?
I was expecting this questions from most you. Copy-writes are the legal rules and regulations formulated by the government to protect the genuine writer from getting exploited due to copying of his original work. Different sites have different rules, so before starting your journey as a blogger you should know the general copy-write laws, so that you do not land up losing your blog due to this, cause a single complaint to the Google about your blog copying someone else’s content will be fatal to your blog as Google will blacklist your blog and after some time almost all the major search engines will also stop listing your blog. So be precocious!!!
5.Am I promoting my blog or trying any SEO for it?
Just posting articles on your blog and waiting for a good response, is like a dream for a new blog. For a good number of readers you will have to publish your blog for quite a good time. You can do so by telling your friends to visit your blog regularly of by sending them updates and asking them to spread it out to their friends also. You may also use social networking sites like Orkut, Facebook or any other social bookmarking site like Digg, Stumble Upon etc.
6.Am i regularly analyzing my blog’s performance?
After asking these questions if you think that you are into the blogging and you know your directions and the basic things to avoid, then you shall start promoting your knowledge and skills by analyzing your blog regularly, such as the unique visitor a particular article is getting, which are the weakest articles and why are they so?, how to include more variable and valuable stuff regularly to maintain the interest of the regular visitors and rank higher in your niche.
