Samsung Mobile, the leading Korean mobile manufacturer, today launched the SAMSUNG Pixon (M800), which is claimed to be the first 8 Megapixel touch screen camera mobile phone in India. The Pixon is enriched with all the latest camera functions found in Digital Cameras.

It has the advanced features like Shake Reduction, Smile detection, Face Detection, Blink detection, Panormic shot. The phone has a photo editing feature, with which the photos clicked can be easily edited and users can also make a photo memo just by scribbling on the photos.
The phone has many new and improved features. It has video recording and TV output for both PAL and NTSC systems. It also offers mobile blogging and easy viewing and sharing pictures. The pictures scroll through in a magnificent way, just at tilting the phone. Thus flipping through photos becomes a real fun. Along with this Pixon supports a large range of video player formats like mp4, DivX and also an advanced Music Player having SRS 3D surround sound.

COMPARISION
Pixon is not a smartphone like the previously announced Omnia(i900), yet it is a smarter phone to carry. It uses software similar to the F480’s, but as it is released around half an year later, it is bound to have many improvements. The software in F480’s was not liked by the users but M800 seems to be a promising phone, as Samsung has brought many improvements over its previous models.
Pixon is a clear rival to the Renoir, of LG. Renoir has a similar design, DivX video support, 8 MP Camera and similar interface. Even though both the phones are GSM (with 3G and GPS), LG has an upper edge, as it also have Wi-Fi feature and XviD support. Let’s hope that this latest Samsung phone is able to please the users with its advanced features.
The PIXON is tagged at an MRP of Rs. 28,750
