The new ipod Shuffle is now the “word’s smallest music player”, measuring just 0.7 x 1.8 x 0.3 inches. This new shuffle appears a bit smaller than an AA battery.

The Apple this time got away with the traditional circular navigation pad, instead, they have introduced the new in-line remote on the ear phone cord. This in-line emote has a volume up/down buttons, a centre control which can be used to pause or skip the tracks.

Also it has a “VoiceOver”, which tells the track name and the singer of the song being listened at that time. To use this function all you have to do is to press the centre key in the in-line remote control and then hold it for some time, a computerized voice will tell the track name and its artist.

The VoiceOver enables the user to formulate a playlist and play tracks from it easily.

Using this feature is very easy: keep holding the centre key in the in-line, this will tell you the name and artist of the track being played, on further keeping the key pressed, it gives the list of all the available playlists. When you encounter the playlist you want to play, just re-click the centre key, it will get selected.

This new Apple product is half the size of the last generation but it has many intriguing features and higher capacity. Shuffle has a storage of 4GB and is tagged at $79, available in both silver and black colors.
