Hmmm….. this could be a good question or might come out as a research field.. “Is there a language without abuses?” I stuck at this question while walking down the lanes of my city (New Delhi). New Delhi has a lot of spicy things to associate to it. Lot of experiences and stories which are untold and are searching for a narrator. I have got a chance to tell you a simple story which depicts a very familiar characteristic of the city. Story will let you know that how insensible and vulgar we all have become.
I was just strolling down the lanes of my neighborhood area, suddenly a strong and loud colliding voice thundered me and my senses got stuck at the scene of incident. A biker was lying in the corner of the road, bleeding and craving for help, a car driver and an another car driver, were just coming out of their cars…. And to my surprise they came out and started abusing each other, blaming each other for the accident. I can quote their exact words “ Oye…Behen ke l***, Madar *h** , andha ho gaya hai kya?”(Hey..mother f****r, have you gone blind?) To this another person replied “Teri Maa *h** dunga saa**, hata ise aur jane de?”(Will f*** your sister, get aside and make way for me). This quarrel or ‘galiyon ki mehfil’ (an abusing session) went on for ten-twelve minutes, uninterrupted.

The car drivers satisfied their tongues, but during this process they forgot two things, first the lane got jammed by vehicles and secondly, the craving and bleeding biker who, on account of not being attended by anyone, went unconscious or might have died, I couldn’t figure out in the night. But, the corner of the road no longer produced a dull pleading voice.

This incident popped many questions in my mind: “Salon ka galiyan dena dusre bande ki jaan se jaada jaruri tha kya?” (Was their abusing session more important than the life of the injured biker? ), or it has become a custom to abuse each other at every fault ?. Shouldn’t they have helped the injured biker first and then have settled themselves? “Insaniyat bech khayi hai kya hum logon ne?” (Have we auctioned our humanity?)

A language without abuses is like eating a ‘Sambhar-dosa’ (south India dish) without masalas (spices).Abuses has been part of every culture and they act like spices to the language. But, don’t you think that there are times when these spices are to be avoided??

This is not the only incident which was adorned by abusive language but there are numerous every hour, happening on the highways. Isn’t there a language in this world which has no abuses? Cause if abuses have become so costly that a person’s life is nothing before them, and then we must give up our languages and deduce a language which does not have abuses in it.
Do you know any such language?? Do let me know and help save humanity….
